Italy: Actimel (Danone group), official partner of the Federation for three years (2020-2022)

Actimel, the yoghurt drink brand of the Danone group (food industry), has become a partner of the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio for its national senior men's and women's teams for three years (2020-2022), announced the Italian Federation on 28/07/2020.

Actimel has the status of "official partner", the fifth level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the body. "The agreement comes after years of collaboration between Danone and the FIGC in the Danone Nations Cup, an international tournament for U12s which is reserved solely for the women's team in Italy," explained the FIGC.

This partnership will showcase three Danone Group brands, namely Hipro, Danette and Actimel, which will be "will be the main focus of a message preaching positivity and resilience, with the goal of reflecting support and passion through a true symbol of Italy: the Italian National Team."

The FIGC is therefore expanding its portfolio of official partners, following agreements with Equilibra (nutrition, 2020-2022), Fonzies (Mondelēz International, snacks, 2020-2022) and Ringo (Barilla, food products, 2020-21).
