The NHL, the social network Twitter and Disney Streaming Services (the entity in charge of the development of the Disney Group's streaming platforms, including the sports platform ESPN+) have entered into a partnership to broadcast certain North American Ice Hockey League games in the United States on 28/07/2020.

Twitter will be broadcasting free two-minute live segments of selected games chosen by fans on the social network from 01/08/2020. On each day of the playoff qualification phase and on each day of the first two playoff rounds, the NHL will select two games and fans will vote for one of them. During the playoff conference finals, at least five games will be covered by the scheme.

For the qualifiers, Twitter will broadcast the first two minutes of the first period and the first two minutes of the third period of the selected games. For the games in the first two rounds of the playoffs, Twitter will broadcast the first two minutes of the first period and the last two minutes of the third period.
