Brand Finance: Real Madrid CF, the most valuable club brand in 2020 (€1.419bn, -13.4%)

Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander), with a brand valuation of €1.419bn (-13.4% in one year), takes first place in the 2020 ranking established by the American company Brand Finance, a specialist in the economic valuation of brands, in its annual report the "Football Annual 2020", published on 29/07/2020.

In the 2020 ranking of the most valuable club brands, the Madrid club - which was already in the lead in 2019 - is just ahead of FC Barcelona, whose brand valuation rose from €1.393bn in 2019 to €1.413bn in 2020 (+1.4%). The Catalan club is now ahead of Manchester United FC, which was second in 2019 and completes the podium in 2020 (3rd, €1.314bn, -10.7%).

The Premier League (6 clubs) and LaLiga Santander (2 clubs) are the only two leagues to be represented by more than one club in the Top 10 in 2020. FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga, 6th, €1.056bn, -19.6%) and Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats, 7th, €967m, +5.8%) are the only two clubs outside the Premier League and LaLiga Santander to be featured in the Top 10.
