Cagliari Calcio: agreement with Credito Sportivo (bank) for the financing of the future stadium

Cagliari Calcio (Serie A TIM) and Istituto per il Credito Sportivo, the Italian public investment bank dedicated to the financing of sports and cultural infrastructures, have signed an agreement to structure the financing of the construction of the club's future stadium on 30/07/2020.

Cagliari Calcio have been playing at the Sardegna Arena (16,233 capacity), a temporary stadium since 10/09/2017, after playing their home games until 2016-17 at the Stadio Sant'Elia, which will be destroyed to make way for the new one. The club from Cagliari (Sardinia, ITA) has signed an agreement with Sportium, an architecture and urban planning agency, for the design of the new stadium, which will have a modular capacity of 25,200 to 30,000.

"The collaboration agreement with the Istituto per il Credito Sportivo represents another important step towards the realisation of an ambitious, fascinating and resolutely attractive infrastructural initiative, especially in such a delicate period for Italy," said Cagliari Calcio.
