Coupe de la Ligue BKT: "Thank you and see you soon" a tribute from BKT ahead of the last ever final

"We have to thank the Coupe de la Ligue BKT, to which we are attached and which we have had the pleasure of accompanying," said Lucia Salmaso, CEO of Balkrishna Industries Europe, who paid tribute to the competition of which BKT has been the title sponsor since 2018-19, on 30/07/2020.

The off-road tyre manufacturer will accompany the Coupe de Ligue BKT one last time during the final Paris Saint-Germain - Olympique Lyonnais at the Stade de France (Paris, FRA) on Friday 31/07/2020 (kick-off 21:10 CET, broadcast on France 2 and Canal+ Sport).

"The board of directors, then the General Assembly of the LFP have decided to suspend the organisation of the Coupe de la Ligue at the end of the 2019-20 edition" announced the Ligue de Football Professionnel, on 18/09/2019, putting an early end to the contract with BKT, initially title sponsor of the competition until the end of 2023-24. Since then, the LFP and BKT have entered into a new agreement through which the Indian group holds the naming rights to Ligue 2, known as the "Ligue 2 BKT " for the 2020-2024 cycle.
