"I've always said that 2014 would not be easier than 2010. First, Brazil is a continent, a gargantuan country compared to South Africa. It is a developing country, which thus presents organisational difficulties. Just because you are a five-time world champion, or because you have one of the greatest championships, doesn't mean you can organise a World Cup," Jérôme Valcke, the secretary general of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) told News Tank on 12/05/2014, one month before the opening match (Brazil-Croatia, 12/06/2014, Sao Paulo) of the World Cup in Brazil (from 12/06 to 13/07/2014).

"There is a race against time to have everything in place for the media, for teams, ... for officials, ... and for the fans, some watching TV, and others in the stadiums," he said.

"Some might call it arrogance, but thanks to the professionalism of FIFA and the organising committee's teams, there may be problems behind the scenes, but stadium-goers won't be aware of them."
