Germany: Marco Reus to continue as ambassador of Japanese Panasonic until June 2015

Marco Reus, the German International from Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga), extended his contract on 12/05/2014 as an ambassador of Panasonic Group, which specialises in the development and design of electronics. The player has been under contract with the Japanese company since June 2013 and extended his contract until June 2015. The agreement includes an option to extend for another year.

Marco Reus appears in a print and digital campaign of Panasonic in Germany to promote the Lumix G6 camera for the 2014 World Cup. The contract is estimated at €500,000. The player is also linked to the German kit supplier Puma.

  • Neymar is also an ambassador for Panasonic. His contract, which began in 2010 and brought in €900,000 per year, will be completed in 2017.
  • The Japanese Panasonic group became the official supplier of Paris-SG (Ligue 1) on 18/10/2013. Both parties are bound until the end of the 2014-15 season.
  • Panasonic's competitor Sony is an official partner of FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football) for the 2014 World Cup.
