France: LFP sets elective general assembly for Thursday 10/09/2020

"The board of directors of the LFP convenes an elective general assembly on (Thursday) 10/09/2020, in application of the statutes of the LFP and in accordance with the memorandum of understanding between the clubs of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2," announced the French Professional Football League on 31/07/2020.

"After 20 years in football, on which I intend to keep an informed and attentive eye, I wish to move on," announced Nathalie Boy de la Tour, president of the French Professional Football League, in the French media L'Équipe on 29/07/2020.

Ligue 2 undertakes to vote for the candidate that Ligue 1 will designate to take over the presidency of the League. At the same time, Ligue 1 agreed to distribute an additional €25m in TV rights (to lower divisions), €20m intended for Ligue 2 (whose share was limited to €110m) and €5m to the National (3^rd division). This inclusive agreement was presented to the Bureau of the LFP on29/07/2020, after having just been voted for unanimously by all 40 clubs (of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2)," reported L'Équipe on 30/07/2020.
