The French automaker Citroën has extended its partnership with Arsenal FC (Premier League) until 2016-17, the club announced on 13/05/2014. Citroën has been linked to the club since 2008.

Citroen will maintain its presence on display advertising in Emirates Stadium (capacity 60,000) and implement promotional activities in collaboration with the club. In particular, the manufacturer wants to create digital initiatives. Citroën will broadcast this association with Arsenal in the UK but also in France, said the club.

The brand will provide vehicles for coaches and staff of Arsenal. They can choose from the New C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso MPVs, as well as the soon-to-be-launched New C1 and C4 Cactus models.

Citroën, a sponsor of Olympique de Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1), is also a premium sponsor of the French national team. The contract with FFF (French Football Federation) will expire at the end of the 2014 World Cup. This sponsorship is estimated at €1.5m for 2014. Citroën will then be replaced by Volkswagen, which will be linked to FFF until 2018.
