Bundesliga: Mola TV acquires broadcasting rights in Indonesia (2020-2025 cycle)

The Indonesian OTT and pay-TV operator Mola TV has acquired the full and exclusive broadcasting rights, in Indonesia, for the Bundesliga, the 2.Bundesliga and the German Super Cup, announced Bundesliga International, a subsidiary of the DFL, on 06/08/2020.

Mola TV replaces the American pay-TV operator Fox Sports, which held the broadcasting rights for the Bundesliga in more than 80 territories, including Indonesia, in the 2015-2020 cycle.

Mola TV notably holds the broadcasting rights in Indonesia to the Premier League (2019-2022 cycle), the Chinese Super League and the exclusive OTT rights for Euro 2020 (postponed to 2021).

  • "Bundesliga International and Mola TV will cooperate on promoting the Bundesliga in Indonesia. Bundesliga International will also support Mola TV’s efforts to discover and develop Indonesian football talent," stated Bundesliga International on 06/08/2020.
    • A similar promotion agreement was concluded with the Vietnamese company Next Media for the acquisition of the broadcasting rights, in Vietnam, to the Bundesliga (2020-2025 cycle), on 10/06/2020.
