Premier League: Mark Jenkins steps down as chief exec of West Bromwich Albion, Xu Ke successor

Mark Jenkins (Hereford, England) chief executive of West Bromwich Albion FC (Premier League) has announced his decision to step down "after a combined 18 years at the club shared over two terms of service," announced West Brom on 03/08/2020.

Mark Jenkins was West Bromwich Albion's finance director from October 2020 until 2010, then served as chief executive of the club from 2010 to 2016. He was then re-appointed as the club's chief executive on 13/02/2018. Mark Jenkins will be replaced by West Bromwich Albion's 32 year old executive director Xu 'Ken' Ke (Shanghai, CHN), who became a special advisor of the club after its change of ownership in August 2016 and officially joined the club's board in October 2018.

"After the longest and hardest season in history, promotion was deservedly secured. It was an exhausting and emotional night at The Hawthorns (26,850 capacity) that I shall always treasure - but it also provided confirmation that we were back in the Premier League and that my job was done," said Jenkins.
