Ligue 1: +11 million followers for Paris Saint-Germain on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in 2019-20

Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) has nearly 80.9 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/08/2020, almost 11 million more than 01/08/2019 (70 million fans, +16%).

In terms of the European Top 5 leagues, only five clubs experienced higher growth in the number of fans in 2019-20: FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander, +18.4 million fans), Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander, +17.5 million), Juventus FC (Serie A TIM, +16.5 million), Liverpool FC (Premier League, +14.5 million) and FC Internazionale Milano (Serie A TIM, +12.8 million ).

The Parisian club, 2019-20 French champions, is the most popular French club ahead of Olympique de Marseille in third, which has nearly 10.9 million subscribers (+12% compared to 08/01/2019), and AS Monaco FC in second, which is the club with the strongest percentage growth (+22%), has 11 million followers.

Dijon FCO and OGC Nice are the two other first division clubs which have recorded the highest increases in percentage of their cumulative fan numbers on the three social networks. The…
