Italy: "ReportCalcio 2020" produced by the FIGC and the audit and consultancy firm PwC

The FIGC and the audit and consulting firm PwC have published the "ReportCalcio 2020" document on 05/08/2020. This document (in Italian) presents the organization of the governance of Italian professional football, as well as its 2018-19  income and finances, and also provides figures for amateur football.

Italian professional football clubs (Serie A TIM, Serie BKT and Serie C generated €3.85bn in turnover in 2018-19, up 8.5% from 2017-18 (€3.55bn). The cumulative expenditure for Italian professional football amounted to €3.14bn in 2018-19, an increase of 13.4% (€2.77bn in 2017-18). The cumulative net loss of Italian professional clubs reached €395m in 2018-19, an increase of 83% compared to 2017-18 (€215m).

The cumulative debt of Italian professional football clubs increased (+11%), from €5.22bn at the end of the 2017-18 season, to €5.80bn at the end of 2018-19.
