With €757.3m in turnover in 2018-19, Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) occupy 2nd place in the Deloitte Football Money League 2020, compared to 6th place for Manchester City FC (Premier League) and its €610.6 million in turnover, at a time when the two clubs face each other in the second leg of the Round of 16 of the 2019-20 Champions League (163 days after the first leg, won 2-1 by City on 26/02/2020), at the Etihad Stadium (55,017 capacity) in Manchester (ENG), on Friday 07/08/2020 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).

According to the 2020 edition of the Deloitte Football Money League, the Madrid club received audiovisual revenues of €257.9m, commercial revenues of €354.6m and matchday revenues of €144.8m in 2018-19, compared to, respectively, €287.2m, €261m and €62.4m for Manchester City during the same season.

With 257.1 million total followers on social networks (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as of 07/08/2020), Real Madrid have 3.5 times more than their English opponent, who totals 73 million.
