Germany: 2020-21 Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga calendars published, to start on Friday 18/09/2020

The match between defending German champions FC Bayern Munich and FC Schalke 04 is expected to be the first Bundesliga match of the 2020-21 season on Friday 018/09/2020, according to the schedule published by the DFL on 07/08/2020 (document to download).

But if, however, FC Bayern Munich participate in the final of the 2019-20 Champions League on Sunday 23/08/2020 (they face FC Barcelona in the quarter-finals in Lisbon, POR, on Friday 14/08/2020), the club's first Bundesliga match will be postponed to Monday 21/09/2020, specified the German Professional League. In this case, it is the match between the 2019-20 German vice-champions, Borussia Dortmund, and Borussia Mönchengladbach that would open the season.

In the 2.Bundesliga (document to download), two matches will open the 2020-21 season on Friday 18/09/2020 (kick-off at 18:30 CET):
• Hamburger SV - Fortuna Düsseldorf.
• SSV Jahn Regensburg - 1 FC Nürnberg.
