Ligue 1 Uber Eats: Montpellier HSC is not selling season tickets for the start of the season

"Taking into account the context and the very low authorization of reception capacity (limited to 5,000 people for any gathering in France for the moment) we will not be offering season tickets at the start of the season. Indeed, we will not be able to satisfy all our loyal subscribers and do not want to make a choice among you," announced Montpellier Hérault Sport Club (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) on 08/10/2020. The club had 8,685 season ticket holders at the start of the 2019-20 Ligue 1 season.

"Since 11/07/2020 and the end of the state of health emergency in metropolitan France, France has authorized the reception of the public in sports arenas up to a limit of 5,000 people. (...) Given the current health situation which indicates an increase in the circulation of the coronavirus on the territory, the government has taken the decision to maintain the gauge at 5,000 people maximum in a sports arena until 31/08/2020 (except local exemptions)," said the French Ministry of Sports on 28/07/2020.
