Bundesliga: FC Schalke 04 opens official account on TikTok

FC Schalke 04 (Bundesliga) have opened an official account on the video-sharing platform TikTok, "a strategic step aimed at reaching the youngest Schalke fans around the world," the German club announced on 14/08/2020.

"TikTok is the world's top mobile platform for short videos, where users can show off their creativity, knowledge and the most important moments of their lives right from their smartphones. Over two billion people have already downloaded the app, mainly used by 16-25 year olds, and whose motto is 'Make every second count'," added FC Schalke 04.

The Gelsenkirchen club (North Rhine-Westphalia, GER) launches on the social network owned by the Chinese group ByteDance four days after another Bundesliga club: Hertha BSC (see below).
