FC Barcelona: the next elections for the club presidency will take place from 15/03/2021

"The management committee, assuming its responsibility for the sporting situation in the club, has agreed that the date of the next elections for the presidency of the club will be that of the first match played at home from 15/03/2021," announced FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander), following a meeting of its executive body on 17/08/2020.

Josep Maria Bartomeu was elected president of FC Barcelona for the 2015-2021 period, following the vote organized among the socios on 18/07/2015. At the time, he had collected 25,823 votes (54.63%), ranking ahead of Joan Laporta (33.03%), Agustí Benedito (7.16%) and Toni Freixa (3.7%). The current president of Barça has already served two terms at the head of the club and can not by statute seek a third.
