"It's a very difficult situation (Covid-19 health crisis) all around Europe and all around the world. For now, things are going very well thanks to the great work of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) and the Portuguese government," stated Aleksander Ceferin, UEFA president, on a visit to Lisbon (POR) where the "Final 8" of the Champions League has taken place, on 20/08/2020.

"The quarter-finals, semi-finals and final of the 2019-20 Champions League will be played as an eight-team knockout final (the 'Final 8') at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica and at the Estádio José Alvalade, in Lisbon (POR), from 12 to 23/08/2020," UEFA announced at the end of the video-conference meeting of its executive committee on 17/06/2020.

The competition will end with a final between Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) - FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, on Sunday 23/08/2020 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).
