Formula 1: four additional Grand Prix confirmed in Turkey, Bahrain (2 races) and Abu Dhabi (UAE)

Four additional Grand Prix will be held in 2020: in Istanbul (Turkey) from 13 to 15/11/2020, two races in Manama (Bahrain) from 27 to 29/11/2020 then from 04 to 06/12/2020, and finally in Abu Dhabi (UAE) from 11 to 13/12/2020, announced Formula One Group on 25/08/2020

These additions bring the total number of confirmed races to 17, including 13 GPs contested in Europe, for the 2020 F1 season in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. No races will be held in North or South America, Oceania or Asia (excluding the Middle East). Initially, the 2020 calendar included 22 races.

"We want to express our thanks to the hard work of all our promoters and partners in making this 17-race season possible," said Formula One. On the same day, the body confirmed the cancellation of the 2020 Chinese Grand Prix, initially scheduled in Shanghai (CHN) from 17 to 19/04/2020.
