Téléfoot: Mediapro/Free agreement on the distribution of the French channel launched on 21/08/2020

The Spanish audiovisual group Mediapro and the telecommunications group Free have announced the signing of a four-year agreement for the distribution of the Téléfoot (Mediapro) channel "to Freebox ADSL and Fibre subscribers" on 26/08/2020. "The Téléfoot channel will be available as an option for eligible Freebox subscribers with or without a commitment, and also as part of the Netflix+Téléfoot bundled offer," said the two entities.

Mediapro has signed distribution agreements with the telecommunications operators SFR (Altice France) and Bouygues Telecom, as well as with Apple (IT, electronic products) and Samsung (Smart TV). Among the traditional operators, Orange (telecommunications) and Canal+ (pay-TV) have not yet signed an agreement with Mediapro who are also in advanced discussions with Facebook (see related article).
