Serie A TIM: Konami (video games) succeeds EA Sports as a partner of AS Roma from 2020-21

Konami, a Japanese video game publisher, is to become the exclusive "football video games partner" of AS Roma (Serie A TIM) from 2020-21 as part of a "long-term agreement," announced the Roman club on 27/08/2020. Konami succeeds EA Sports (USA), AS Roma's partner for the 2018-2020 cycle.

Konami has official partner status, the third level in the AS Roma sponsorship hierarchy. As part of this partnership, Konami will use its 3D technology to reproduce the Stadio Olympico (68,530 capacity) and the club's players in its eFootball PES 2021 game (an update of the 2020 edition) available for sale from 15/09/2020. The Japanese publisher will also gain visibility on LED signage at the club's stadium in Rome (ITA).

In the Serie A TIM, Konami is also an exclusive partner of Juventus FC. The exclusivity agreement means that only the Japanese publisher can use the club's assets in its video games. Therefore, Juventus FC will be called "Piemonte FC" in EA Sports' rival game FIFA 21, while AS Roma will be called "Roma FC".
