Germany: "The DFL is ready to discuss with the authorities the return of fans to the stadiums"

"The DFL is of course ready to immediately start talks with the responsible political authorities on a uniform nationwide procedure for the return of fans to the stadiums," said the German Professional League on 28/08/2020.

This statement was made the day after the political summit on the subject of the Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) and its consequences that brought together German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the leaders of the 16 Länder (regions) for more than five hours, by videoconference, on Thursday 27/08/2020.

"We can slowly allow spectators to return to the stadiums without neglecting the protection against infection," said Federal Interior Minister Horst Seehofer in an interview with the German regional daily "Donaukurier" ("The Danube Courier") on Saturday 29/08/2020. The Minister welcomed the fact that the approach is gathering more and more supporters.
