Los Angeles 2028: presentation of the official LA28 logo, celebrating the city's diverse community

The Local Organising Committee of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games has presented the official logo of the event (to be held from 21/07 to 06/08/2028) on 01/09/2020. The "LA28" emblem, created in cooperation with American athletes, artists and ambassadors, celebrates LA's diverse community.

The "A" in "LA28" has several different shapes and typographic versions (more than 25 iterations) enabling the Olympic emblem to be interchangeable in order to highlight the history and diversity of the Californian city that previously hosted the Summer Olympic Games in 1932 and 1984.

"A strong and bold L, 2 and 8 serve as the foundation for the Olympic and Paralympic emblems, with individual stories expressed through a dynamic and ever-changing 'A'. They are inspired by the infinite possibilities Los Angeles represents, honouring creativity, diversity, self-expression and inclusion," said the LA28 Local Organising Comittee.
