Tennis: Emirates launches a CSR campaign at the US Open despite matches behind closed doors

Emirates, an Emirati airline company, has activated its partnership with the USTA on the at the US Open Grand Slam tennis tournament by launching the "Emirates Serves for Good" campaign conducted in the Arthur Ashe Stadium (centre court) despite the absence of the public, according to the organisers of the tournament on 28/08/2020. The 2020 edition of the US Open is being held behind closed doors in Flushing Meadows (New York, USA) from 31/08 to 13/09/2020.

"For 2020, following the on-court post-match interview, the winning player will hit three balls at Emirates-branded Rally to Rebuild targets in the stands. For each target hit, a donation of $1,000 (€846) will be made in support of the USTA Foundation's Rally to Rebuild initiative, as part of Emirates Serves for Good campaign," said the body. The "Rally to Rebuild" CSR programme aims to financially support the National Junior Tennis and Learning Network which has been struck by the economic and health crisis.
