FA Women's Super League: NBC Sports acquires TV rights in the USA; DAZN in Germany and Italy

The American audiovisual group NBC Sports has acquired the rights to broadcast the Barclays FA Women's Super League in the United States for the 2020-21 season (which begins this Saturday 05/09/2020), on 02/09/2020.

This is the first time that the English women's championship will be broadcast in the United States. 50 matches will be broadcast on the various NBC Sports platforms, including 12 on the cable channel NBCSN.

DAZN has acquired these broadcasting rights in Germany and Italy also for one season. The OTT platform will broadcast 44 matches.

The broadcasting rights for the Barclays FA Women's Super League are marketed internationally by the English agency Pitch International.

  • NBC Sports holds the rights to broadcast the Premier League Top English professional football division. 20 clubs. in the United States over the 2016-2022 cycle for an estimated $167m (€148m) per season.
