Premier League: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 20 clubs (September 2020)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2020-21 Premier League season have over 524 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/09/2020. This total has enabled the Premier League to maintain its position as the most popular Top 5 European league, all three social networks combined, ahead of LaLiga Santander, with an average of 26.2 million fans per club.

Manchester United FC are the most popular English club with 132.7 million fans, followed by Chelsea FC, with 86.2 million and Liverpool FC, with 79.3 million.

Manchester City FC was the club that posted the best growth in absolute value during August 2020 with 971,438 additional fans, 75% of which were on Instagram alone. Sheffield United FC posted the best percentage growth on Instagram (+10.3%), Wolverhampton Wanderers FC on Twitter (+3.4%) and promoted side Leeds United FC on Facebook (+2.2%) among the Premier League clubs during the last month.
