LaLiga Santander: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 20 clubs (September 2020)

The 20 clubs competing in the 2020-21 LaLiga Santander season have more than 516 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/09/2019. This total makes LaLiga Santander the second most popular European Top 5 league on all three social networks, behind the Premier League, with an average of 25.8 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF is the most popular Spanish club with over 236 million fans, while FC Barcelona, second, with a total of 226 million, are ahead of Club Atlético de Madrid in third place with 28.3 million.

Barça was the club that posted the best growth in absolute value on the three social networks with nearly 1.6 million additional fans in total, including 1.15 million on Instagram alone. On Instagram social network, the Catalan club also posted the best growth among the clubs of the European Top 5, ahead of FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga, +1,112,606 followers) and Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats, +1,030,475).
