Juventus: €2.9m in net profit for first nine months of 2013-14 season (-79.1%)

Juventus (Serie A) recorded a net profit of €2.9m for the first nine months of the 2013-14 season, the club's board announced on 13/05/2014, approving a financial statement dated 31/03/2014.

Over the same period in 2012-13, the Turin club recorded a net profit of €13.9m. The difference for this year (-79.1%) was due "notably by an increase in wages of €16.5m and a limited growth in turnover of €5.7m," said the club.

The Juventus board indicated that it expects "a loss of greater than €16m" for the 2014 fiscal year (01/07/2013 - 30/06/2014), which "could have an influence on the club's summer transfer window". Juventus are paying in particular for their elimination from the group stage of the 2013-14 Champions League. The club's net loss for the 2013 fiscal year was €15.9m.
