Basketball: easyCredit (TeamBank AG) to remain title sponsor of the German league until 2023-24

The German banking group TeamBank AG, through its brand easyCredit, has extended as title sponsor of the easyCredit BBL, according to the German basketball league on 01/09/2020. The German league, which has been called the "easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga" since the 2016-17 season, will retain the name until the end of the 2023-24 season.

"The high reliability of the cooperation was particularly evident during the interruption of the season from March 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Even during the forced break in the game and the uncertainty as to whether and how the 2019-20 season could be completed, TeamBank stood by the easyCredit BBL as a true strategic partner," explained the league, which then organised a tournament behind closed doors to conclude the 2019-20 season at the Audi Dome in Munich (GER) in June 2020.

TeamBank became the title sponsor of the German league for five seasons (2016-2021), following an agreement on 21/07/2016, negotiated via the agency Infront. The agreement included an extension option for a further three additional seasons. The value of the…
