2019-20 European Cups: "Reduction of €575m for international club competitions" (A. Agnelli, ECA)

"We have seen a €330m rebate in the Premier League, we have seen a downturn in the Bundesliga domestic rights of about €200m, we are in the process of finalising the account with UEFA with a reduction of around €575m for the international club competitions, and that is all money that is normally distributed," said Andrea Agnelli, chairman of the European Club Association, during the 24^th general assembly held via videoconference on 08/09/2020.

This €575m is intended to compensate for a shortened 2019-20 Champions League and Europa League season (with matches ending in August behind closed doors), but this discount will be spread over five seasons, according to information gathered by News Tank Football. This would result in an estimated 4.5% drop in revenue for clubs over the 2019-20 season instead of 22.5% (see details below). In addition to this drop, there will also be a decrease in sponsorship revenue.
