Germany: Mondelēz, official partner of the DFL for the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga

Mondelēz International, an American confectionery company which owns the brands Cadbury, Milka, Oreo and Toblerone, has become a partner of the Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH for the Bundesliga and the 2.Bundesliga "from 01/01/2021," announced the German League on 10/09/2020. "Mondelēz International intends to focus this partnership primarily on the Milka brand, which has been a long-standing sponsor of various sporting events and athletes," said the DFL.

"The partnership covers, among other things, the use of DFL and club rights, including using the logos of competitions and of the professional clubs, as well as images of players and trophies in promotional and communication measures for selected Mondelēz International brands. Stars from the 'Bundesliga Legends Network' will also be involved in events arranged by Mondelēz International," added the German body.

Mondelēz International was a partner of the Premier League for the 2017-2020 cycle for an estimated £7m (€8.2m) per year. The group has therefore decided to develop its sponsorship strategy by supporting another football league…
