LFP: Vincent Labrune elected president of the Ligue de Football Professionnel (2020-2024)

"Appointed by the board of directors of the LFP (15 votes against 10 for Michel Denisot), Vincent Labrune is elected (in the second round, by a relative majority, with 47.6% of the votes) president of the Professional Football League by the General Assembly," announced the LFP on 10/09/2020.

The ex-president of Olympique de Marseille (2011-2016) succeeds Nathalie Boy de la Tour who announced on 28/07/2020 that she would not be a candidate for a second term: "I am 51 years old, I have other desires and other projects. I spent four years at the League (since 11/11/2016). Four years is a good cycle. It is both short and long. I gave a lot and received a lot, learned too," she stated to the French sports media L'Équipe.
