LaLiga Santander: FC Barcelona, first sports club to reach 10 million subscribers on YouTube

FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) has become the first sports club to reach the 10 million subscribers mark on its official YouTube channel, announced the club on 10/09/2020. Of all the sports organisations in the world, only the NBA has more subscribers, with 14.7 million.

"Barça's top spot on the world's biggest online video service has been consolidated by spectacular growth in the last two years, both in terms of the number of followers and the number of videos viewed. In the next few days YouTube will be presenting the club with the Diamond Creator Award, a metal-plated trophy with a glass play button that is given to all channels that break the 10 million barrier," added the Catalan club, which has posted 1.7 billion views since the creation of its channel in 2006.
