Equipment suppliers: Puma succeeds Nike as partner of Neymar Jr. (PSG) from 2020-21

Puma has become the new equipment supplier of the Brazilian football player Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior (Paris Saint-Germain) from 2020-21 as part of a "long-term partnership," announced the German brand on 12/09/2020. The agreement was concluded with NR Sports, the company that manages Neymar's image rights.

"The King is back," announced Puma, as Neymar will now wear the iconic Puma King boots, originally created in 1968. "Neymar Jr. will not only wear Puma boots on pitch, but will be a brand ambassador off-pitch, wearing Puma's most important lifestyle, training, and sport-inspired footwear and apparel products," said the manufacturer, who unveiled a Puma x Neymar logo and a co-branded collection.

In addition to the traditional communication tools (press releases, videos, photos of the players in lifestyle apparel and posts on social media) the new Puma ambassador wrote and published a letter that pays tribute to the players who have worn the Puma brand and have had an impact on his football career (Pele, Eusebio, Cruyff and Maradona, see below).
