"The estimated impact of the disruption (due to Covid-19) was around $14bn (€11.8bn). The baseline assumption is that roughly a third of the football economy, which is worth $40-45bn (€33.8-38.1bn) a year, has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic to date. Of course, the consequences are still being felt," said Olli Rehn (FIN), chairman of the FIFA Covid-19 Relief Plan steering committee, on 16/09/2020.
