Formula E: first sport to be certified "carbon neutral" since its creation in 2014

"The ABB FIA Formula E Championship has become the first sport to have a net zero carbon footprint since inception, investing in internationally certified projects in all race markets to offset emissions from six seasons (2014-2020) of electric racing," announced Formula E on 21/09/2020, the launch date of "Climate Week NYC 2020" held in New York (USA) from 27/09/2020.

"Formula E has followed three key steps to achieve a net zero carbon footprint: effective measurement of carbon output, prioritising reducing its footprint and offsetting remaining unavoidable emissions.
