FC Barcelona/Covid-19: auction of special edition home shirts featuring partner Cupra on the sleeve

Cupra, the Spanish car manufacturer belonging to the German group Volkswagen, has activated its partnership with FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) by launching an auction for special edition 2020-21 home shirts - featuring the brand's logo on the right sleeve - "with the aim of raising funds for the fight against Covid -19," announced the Catalan club on 18/09/2020.

Several autographed editions of the special shirts, worn by FC Barcelona players in the traditional friendly match during the off-season, the Joan Gamper trophy, played at the Camp Nou versus Elche CF (3-2 win, 19/09/2020), will be auctioned on the specialised platform United Charity "in the following weeks". All the funds raised will be donated to programmes aimed at supporting children and young people in vulnerable situations in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Cupra - which has been an independent car manufacturer since February 2018 but still owned by Seat (which itself belongs to Volkswagen) after having been its motosport division for 22 years - will also offer the 15,000 employees of Cupra and the Seat group the…
