Liga BBVA: Luis Enrique named coach of FC Barcelona for two years

Luis Enrique has been named manager of FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA) for two years by the board, the club announced on 19/05/2014. He is replacing the Argentine Gerardo Martino Tata, who announced his departure from the Catalan club on 17/05/2014.

Luis Enrique was at the end of his contract with Celta Vigo (Liga BBVA), which he had managed since June 2013. The Spaniard had managed the reserve team of FC Barcelona between 2008 and 2011. He will be introduced at a press conference on 21/05/2014.

Barcelona finished in second place in the Liga BBVA 2013-14 (87 points), three points behind Atlético Madrid (90 points), Spain's champion.
