Formula One Group: Stefano Domenicali new CEO "from January 2021", he will succeed Chase Carey

The Italian Stefano Domenicali, 55 years old, will become president and CEO of Formula One Group "from January 2021", indicated the entity that manages Formula 1 on 25/09/2020.

He will succeed the American Chase Carey, appointed in 2017 after the arrival of Liberty Media Corporation at the head of Formula 1, who will remain non-executive chairman.

Stefano Domenicali worked for the "Scuderia Ferrari" team between 1991 and 2014. First as team manager, he became sporting director in 2002, then team principal between 2008 and 2014. He then joined the automaker Audi in 2014, before being appointed chairman and CEO of its subsidiary Lamborghini in 2016.
