Manchester City FC: virtual season launch party to raise funds against Covid-19

Manchester City FC (Premier League) hosted a virtual 2020-21 season launch party for fans around the world to raise funds for the fight against the consequences of the Covid-19 crisis, on Saturday 26/09/2020.

All the funds raised during this event, which lasted 1.5 hours, will go to "Cityzens Giving For Recovery", a programme launched in June 2020 by City Football Group and whose objective is to collect in one year "at least £1m (€ 1.11m)" to support various operations as part of the post-crisis recovery.

Among the activities offered as part of this virtual gathering: a question-and-answer session with club legends Shaun Goater and Paul Dickov, an interview with American players Rose Lavelle and Sam Mewis, the presence of various celebrities and interactive discussions with fans who had the opportunity to participate in auctions for club-branded products, and play to win a pair of boots from former Manchester City player David Silva (ESP).
