Bundesliga: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 18 clubs (October 2020)

The 18 clubs competing in the 2020-21 Bundesliga season have more than 135 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/10/2020. The Bundesliga is the fourth most popular Top 5 league on these three social networks combined, behind the Premier League, LaLiga Santander and the Serie A TIM, with an average of 7.5 million fans per club.

FC Bayern Munich is the most-popular German club with more than 79 million fans, far ahead of Borussia Dortmund which has over 30 million. FC Schalke 04 completes the Bundesliga podium with nearly 4.6 million fans.

The Bavarian club, winners of the DFL-Supercup (3-2 versus Borussia Dortmund) on 30/09/2020, posted the best growth in absolute value on each of the three social networks with nearly 868,000 additional fans in total, including 53% via Instagram.

RB Leipzig posted the best percentage growth on Instagram (+6.5%) among the Bundesliga clubs in September 2020. Eintracht Frankfurt lead on Facebook (+1.4%) and promoted side DSC Arminia Bielefeld on Twitter (+1.5%).

Instagram
