Francesco Guidolin named technical director of Udinese, Watford and Grenada

The Italian coach Francesco Guidolin has been named technical director of the Pozzo family's clubs Udinese (Serie A), Watford (Championship, English second division) and Granada (Liga), according to an announcement by Udinese on 20/05/2014.

He had been the manager of the Udine club since 01/06/2010. Udinese finished in 13^th place in Serie A 2013-14 (44 points).

"Francesco Guidolin will be an integral part of the team, overseeing more than a hundred players. For us, he is added value and his judgement is very important," said Cristiano Giaretta, sports director of Udinese, on 20/05/2014.

• Gérard Houllier has a similar position as sports director for all clubs belonging to Red Bull, the Austrian energy drink company.
• He is responsible for overseeing teams in five different countries:
  • Red Bull Salzburg (AUT)
  • Red Bull New York (MLS, USA)
  • RB Leipzig (GER, 2^nd division)
  • Red Bull Brasil (BRA Sao Paulo, Paulista second division)
  • Red Bull Ghana (GHA, 2^nd division)
