LaLiga Santander: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts of the 20 clubs (October 2020)

The 20 clubs in the 2020-21 LaLiga Santander championship have more than 520 million fans on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/10/2020. This total makes the Spanish first division the second most popular European Top 5 league on the three social networks combined, behind the Premier League. The Spanish championship has an average of 26 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF is the most followed Spanish club with nearly 238 million fans, with FC Barcelona, 2^nd, with 227 million in total. Far behind, Club Atlético de Madrid completes the podium thanks to its 28.7 million followers.

Barça has the strongest growth in the number of fans on the three social networks with 1.2 million additional followers in total, 63% of them on Instagram. On this social network, Real Madrid recorded the highest increase, not only in LaLiga Santander but also in the entire European Top 5 leagues, with 947,286 new followers in September.
