FC Barcelona: a turnover of €855m (-14%) and net loss of €97m in 2019-20

FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) posted a turnover of €855m for the financial year 2019-20 (01/07/2019 to 30/06/2020), down 14% compared to 2018-19 (€990m), according to the club on 05/10/2020. These figures will be submitted for approval at the next ordinary general assembly of the club's delegate members, scheduled for 25/10/2020.

"The year 2019-20 represents a reduction of -14% compared to the €990m for the previous year (decrease of -€135m) and -18% below the budgeted €1.047bn. The revenue figure this season is significantly marked by the global Covid-19 pandemic," said the Catalan club.

"The most affected area in terms of loss of revenue has been the commercial area, which has amassed €297m in revenue (-9% compared to the previous year 2018-19) and has suffered an estimated impact due to Covid of -€72m, among other reasons, due to the inability to close certain commercial agreements that were at an advanced state of negotiation before the pandemic (-€37m), as well as the losses associated with the sale of products in the club’s official stores (-€35m)," explained FC Barcelona…
