FC Barcelona: Rakuten unveils a mosaic composed of photos of fans on the facade of the Camp Nou

Rakuten, a Japanese group specialised in internet services, has activated its partnership with FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) and unveiled a giant mosaic made up of photos of fans of the Catalan club that will be installed on the façade of the Camp Nou (99,354 capacity) during the 2020-21 season, announced the club on 02/10/2020.

Operation "Be Part of the Big Picture" was launched by Rakuten on 20/07/2020, with the creation of a website for fans to share photos of themselves cheering for their team. "In an atypical season, marked by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, with games having to be played behind closed doors, Barça fans can now feel a little bit closer to their team and become part of the Camp Nou thanks to this 47.7 metre wide and 9.6 metre high mural," explained the club.

Each fan participating in the operation will be able to find their photo within the mosaic upon visiting the Camp Nou thanks to an augmented reality system by scanning a QR code. Fans who are unable to visit the stadium will also be able to find their photo in the mosaic thanks to a personalised…
