Bridge-transfer case: FIFA suspends sanctions against the Uruguayan club IASA

Uruguayan club IASA (Institución Atlética Sud América) has appealed the decision of the FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) Disciplinary Committee, FIFA announced on 20/05/2014. The 05/03/2014 decision on the "bridge-transfer" case had imposed a transfer ban at both the national and international levels for two complete and consecutive transfer periods. The Montevideo club's appeal will be considered by the Appeals Committee of FIFA. The president of this body, Larry Mussenden (Bermuda) granted a suspension of the sanctions during the appeal.

The IASA is accused of bridge transfers, for non-sports reasons, of six Argentine players.
