Covid-19/Juventus-Napoli: decision on match Napoli refused to play (on 04/10/2020) postponed

During this week from 12 to 18/10/2020 - perhaps on Wednesday 14/10/2020 - Gerardo Mastrandrea, the Serie A TIM's sporting judge, should announce his decision regarding the Juventus FC - SSC Napoli game (Matchday 3 of the 2020-21 Serie A TIM) which could not be played as planned at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Sunday 04/10/2020, as Napoli did not make the trip to Piedmont due to two players testing positive for Coronavirus (Covid-19).

This decision was due to be announced on 08/10/2020, however, Gerardo Mastrandrea asked for further information. Juventus, who had arrived on the pitch ahead of kick-off (scheduled for 20:45 CET) and then waited for 45 minutes, in accordance with the rules, may be declared winners by default (3-0).

The judge may also choose to reschedule the match (the date chosen could then be Wednesday 13/01/2021), taking into account the fact that the ASL (Azienda Sanitaria Locale/Local Health Agency) of Campania (the region of Naples) had forbidden the Neapolitan team to travel to Turin, with two of its players, Piotr Zielinski (POL) and Elijf Elmas (MKD) having…
