"They (Mediapro) have to pay, and if they don't pay, there will be negotiations with others," said Jean-Michel Aulas, president of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), in the daily Le Parisien, on 13/10/2020.

The Chinese-Spanish audiovisual group Mediapro, the main broadcaster of Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT since the start of the 2020-21 season, was to pay its second installment in the amount of €172m on 05/10/2020, but requested a delay and renegotiation of the contract with Professional Football League, which the latter formally refused.

Mediapro requested the freezing of this payment from the commercial court of Nanterre (Greater Paris) on 29/09/2020, according to French media on 14/10/2020. This procedure, reserved for companies in financial difficulty, would last at least three months, and would aim to find a solution suitable for both parties (such as a rescheduling of the payment).
