Juventus FC-SSC Napoli: sporting judge awards 3-0 win to Juventus and deducts a point from Napoli

Match won 3-0 by default for Juventus FC and a point deducted for SSC Napoli, was the decision taken by the Lega Serie A's sporting judge Gerardo Mastrandrea on 14/10/2020 regarding the Juventus - Napoli game (Matchday 3 of the Serie A TIM) which could not be played as scheduled at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Sunday 04/10/2020, after Napoli did not travel to Piedmont due to the fact two of their players had tested positive for Coronavirus (Covid-19).

This decision (document available to download) was originally scheduled for 08/10/2020, however, Gerardo Mastrandrea had requested more information. On the day of the match, Juventus came to the pitch before kick-off (scheduled for 20:45 CET) and then waited for 45 minutes for their opponents, in accordance with the rules.

"SSC Napoli has always respected the rules and the law. It awaits with confidence the outcome of the appeal and firmly believes in Justice," said the Neapolitan club in a short statement on 14/10/2020.
